The question I've gotten asked a couple of times since I've been here is "Are you still looking up?" Now one may think this is a strange question but in the case of living in T.O. it's perfectly normal. Looking up and looking straight ahead is the difference between a seasoned Torontonian and a newbie. I am still a newbie and yes I still look up.
Even after two months of being here (2 months shy 3 days) I still find it fascinating to see the skyscrapers towering above me. I still find it absolutely astonishing how high they really are. Where I come from the highest building you'll find will probably only have 15 floors and that would be stretching it. You can't build skyscrapers on muskeg! It's absolutely amazing to be in a place that has buildings with 38 floors.
I don't even think there will come a time when I will cease looking up.
